a legitimate godsend

this thing is freaking magical. i rank it next to my housekeeper on the scale of “quality of life improvements” and that’s not an exaggeration.

like many cursed side sleepers, i’m usually battling hip, knee, and shoulder pain. can’t fall asleep on my back, and even if i do, i roll onto my side. there’s no avoiding it. I won’t tell you this pillow will fix all your side sleeper problems, because everyone’s are different— but it has certainly mitigated mine. I use it with a cutaway coop pillow under my head to great effect.

I used to sleep with anywhere from 4 to 6 pillows carefully arranged around me in between my legs, trying to prop up all the limbs that gave me trouble into neutral positions. Inevitably by the middle of the night they would have fallen out of position, I would wake up with sore limbs, re-situate myself, and start the process all over again.

I’d seen this pillow in facebook ads and it stuck in the back of my mind, so in the middle of one night of exceptional shoulder pain, i impulsively purchased it, slammed some tylenol, and went back to sleep. i’d really like to thank my half awake self for that financial investment.

oh, mama. once it arrived, i slept through that first night and woke up pain free. same with the next one, and the next one. (not the one after that, because my cats are demons, but it wasn’t a joint pain problem.) my sleep has SO meaningfully improved, my coworker mentioned that i seemed like a different person.

my brain has so strongly associated this thing with a good night’s sleep that i usually pass out within a couple minutes of snuggling up to it. it’s gotten better and even molds perfectly to my body after a few months of use. some people need an evening routine to sleep well, but i just need to hug my moonie boy and it’s off to the land of dreams.

customer service is also fabulous. there were a few shipping snags (not the team’s fault!) that they responded to quickly and kindly. thank you tyler and casey for your help, and thank you to the entire moonsleep team for giving me my rest back.
