This is the best quality of life investment I have ever made for myself and my chronic pain.

I have a lot to go over so I’m going to break it down the best I can. But if you spend a lot of time resting in bed because of your health and you’re wondering if this is really worth the high price… YES, YES, YES.

THE PILLOW:

I wanted this pillow so bad but told myself I just couldn’t spend that much on a pillow. Then a high pain day of struggling to get comfy in my no longer soft mommy pillow made me throw my reservations out the window and place an order. I really couldn’t afford it but with PayPal’s pay later, I made it happen.

I have hEDS and co plus a nerve disease, and when I overdo it the flare ups are unbearable. I have found the best way to lay in the moon pillow is to bend it in half and lay my head in the center, with my body supported on both sides. I’m 5’6 and when I do this the ends of the pillow come down almost to my knees. Sometimes I prop my knees up with a squishmallow for extra support. Laying like this is the comfiest I have ever been while in agony.

Even when I’m not in a flare, I have never been this cozy and comfortable. I used to hate being stuck in bed, now I love laying in my pillow. It’s like laying in the softest nest ever. It really is as soft as Squishmallows.

I had sung the praises of mommy pillows for years but lately my pain has been getting so bad that even they weren’t comfy. And my soulmate constantly complained that he couldn’t get to me to snuggle when I used them. Well now we are getting the best snuggles ever in the moon pillow. He can lay right next to it with his head on the tip and I can rest my head on his chest while my body is supported by the pillow. Or we can have it spread open at the top and both crawl inside it together. Despite him being kinda a giant, we both fit inside it nicely.

For reference, the photos I’m including are in a king sized bed. So yeah this pillow is HUGE.

EUCALYPTUS VS SATIN COVER:

The eucalyptus arrived first and I had it on for a few weeks so I really got to test it out. Both are insanely soft and comfortable to sleep on. The satin is of course much softer. I only got the satin yesterday so I’m not sure how it’ll hold up but it’s seriously the softest thing ever.

They both come with very small cons. The eucalyptus is a bit fragile. It is thin and starting to peel. And it seems to stain really easily, more so than other light colored pillow cases I’ve had. But I can live with this.

The satin feels much thicker and less fragile. My only issue with it is the issue that comes with anything satin.. it’s too slippery. So it’s impossible to get the pillow to stay in the perfect position which is going to be a problem when I’m in pain. I got the satin one because I have curly hair and want to reduce frizz. But I’ll definitely be going back to the other pillow case sometimes.

THE EXTRA STUFFING:

When the pillow arrived, it felt overstuffed if anything. Like I was falling off the sides when I tried to spoon it. I figured that meant it would sink down to the perfect size. But deflated a LOT. So I’m very glad I got the stuffing, it got it back to the perfect shape. If it deflates again, I’ll be buying more.

THE COMPANY ITSELF:

The people running this small business are so kind and patient. I emailed them so many times to change the color of my pillowcase, to add on the extra stuffing, then I asked to add another pillowcase that would get here sooner because I was in a pain flare up. They happily changed my order every time and when I said I was in a pain flare up. They happily changed my order every time and when I said I was in a pain flare they prioritized my order and got it to me fast. They send you a message at least once a week with updated shipping times.

They are real people and it feels like they truly care about their customers, not just making money. Thank you Casey and Tyler. You guys are so kind and awesome and I appreciate you so much. And you’ve made an amazing product that I don’t know how I ever lived without.
