How do I wash the MoonSpoon™?

The outer cover is removable and machine washable — just keep the zipper closed. Original covers: wash cold, line dry for best results, or tumble dry on low. Satin covers: wash cold on a gentle cycle and line dry, avoiding high heat. The inner pillow can be spot cleaned as needed.

What is the fill made of?

The MoonSpoon is filled with a high-quality polyester fiber purposefully chosen for its super soft, plush feel and long-lasting loft. Can I adjust the amount of fill?

Yes! Both the outer cover and inner cover have zippers, so you can remove or add fill to customize the firmness to your preference. The MoonSpoon arrives vacuum-sealed and intentionally extra lofty, then softens and molds to your body over the first few nights. Sleep with it before adjusting, then remove fill if you prefer a softer feel.

Does the MoonSpoon™ have a break-in period?

Yes, we call it the Squish-In Period. Your MoonSpoon may feel extra full and lofty at first, and that's normal. After a few nights of sleeping, hugging, folding, and squishing, the fill starts to relax and mold to you. The more you use it, the more it starts to feel like yours.

Can the MoonSpoon™ be used during pregnancy?

100%! The MoonSpoon was inspired by pregnancy pillows, but upgraded with more luxurious materials, a more versatile crescent shape, and a design that stays useful long after pregnancy. It can support your belly, back, hips, and knees for side sleeping, lounging, and getting comfortable.

Does it come with a pillowcase?

Yes! Every MoonSpoon includes a removable, machine-washable zip cover in your choice of fabric: the silky-cool Original (eucalyptus Tencel) or glossy-smooth Satin. Existing customers can also order an extra cover separately in either fabric at https://www.moonsleep.co/moonspoon-cover. Cover-only orders do not include the pillow.

What's the difference between the Original and Satin covers?

Both are the same zip cover in different fabrics, and both fit every MoonSpoon. The Original is eucalyptus-derived Tencel Lyocell (93%, with 7% spandex for stretch): silky, breathable, naturally moisture-wicking, and cool to the touch — the pick for hot sleepers. Satin is 80% nylon, 20% spandex with a glossy-smooth glide and soft stretch: gentle on skin and hair, so you wake with less bedhead frizz and fewer sleep creases.

Is the MoonSpoon™ FSA/HSA eligible?

The MoonSpoon may be FSA/HSA eligible with a Letter of Medical Necessity from your healthcare provider. Ask your doctor if a body pillow is recommended for your condition.

We ship across the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and US territories. International shipping is now available to supported countries at checkout with duties and taxes included where supported. If your country appears at checkout, you can place your order directly.

What is your return policy?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we accept returns. You have 30 days from the day your MoonSpoon is delivered to request one. Because a body pillow is something you have to sleep with to know, lightly used is completely fine, as long as it comes back in good, clean condition. Approved returns include a prepaid return label, and a $20 restocking fee is deducted from your refund to help cover return shipping and cleaning before donation. We never resell used products. Instead we clean, refurbish, and donate returns to women's shelters, domestic violence survivor services, foster care programs, and veterans service organizations.
